Resize Image
A web page is quite suitable for mobile browsing if the rich media content is removed from it. Rich Media may include flash, streaming audio, photos etc. While images are viewable on mobile phone browser, loading and rendering of large images may lead to browser crashes, not to forget the large amount of data transfer cost associated with it. While pictures can be totally avoided from loading in the mobile phone browser, the web page may loose its appeal in the process and look similar to a 18th century notebook page. An image can many a times be worth a thousand words hence its not a good decision to avoid loading of pics. It however is a good decision to resize the image online and then have the browser load it, in this way the appeal is not lost neither does the mobile site page viewer feel the heat of large amount of data transfer. Its a winsome situation, but to force this condition or situation an extra server side scripting is necessary especially an on the fly image resizer.
